Each of our measurement
instruments represents the outcome of literally years of Research &
Development. We feel that the necessity for quality data to support
"high-stakes" decision-making, in schools and other organisations,
repays these efforts.
Below are examples
of just a few representative unsolicited genuine comments we receive on a
regular basis.
"Having
completed our first full set of reports and having scrutinised
them as an SLT, the quality of the data/results is quite
unbelievable and have delivered everything yourself and
Bob said they would.
The
synopsis in terms of our more vulnerable students was of
particular interest/use and we now have some real key data to
work with and have already started strategising for 2010/11.
We will
without doubt be utilising this survey for many years to come
and would also strongly recommend any school be it in the
primary, secondary, grammar and even public sector do the same!
Information of this quality can only be of enormous benefit to
any Senior Leadership Team."
"Just wanted to let you know that we are in our second year of
using PASS with our students and I am constantly telling all of
the other schools in my L.A. to start using it. We have used it
with a high degree of success to identify students that are low
in self esteem. Once identified we have worked on the SEAL
skills of these students and we have also involved them all (43
were Red on the Self Regard Factor) in 3 different projects
designed to improve their self regard – Boxing for boys, self
defence for girls and a K9 project (working with dogs) with our
KS3 students. We have seen marked improvements in all of them
with the rate of exclusion being reduced and improved
attendance. We have also used PASS as a predictor of
non-attendance, in the 3 years that I have been in the College
the PA figure has fallen from 10% to 4.9% and we are no longer a
PA school. This is through a number of systems and attitudinal
changes but the PASS data has been invaluable. I used a great
deal of the data that is provided from the PASS report when
writing the part of the SEF that I responsibility for and found
the data to be invaluable. The College had an Ofsted inspection
in January 2010 and we moved from a ‘satisfactory’ school in
2007 to a ‘good school with outstanding features’ in the latest
inspection. We achieved ‘outstanding’ for care, guidance and
support and the PASS work definitely contributed to this
grading. I have recently delivered a presentation to all of the
Deputy/Assistant heads with responsibility for Behaviour &
Attendance and I espoused the benefits of using PASS. I thought
you would appreciate the positive feedback."
"We are really impressed with both the service from W3 Insights
and the report."
"We have recently completed our KS1 and KS2 data and have
received our report. We have found the programme to be
incredibly useful."
"Really
appreciate the help you have given me it has been fantastic
support as always."
"I
found the PASS information invaluable this afternoon as I
prepared my SEF."
"All I hear is that PASS is still the
best".
"I am a teacher
and personal tutor in a special school. I have been using the
PASS software for three years and absolutely love it".
"We are now using PASS for loads of
areas, it has become integral to our provision, we think it's
great! We are about to re-test a handful of children with the
stand alone version to evaluate the impact of interventions they
have received as a result of the initial survey and we are
looking forward to carrying out our whole school survey again in
October!
"I
have been using your PASS system for three years now following a
visit to Moss Side in Manchester with Eric Cymbir. We were
inspected in February 2009 and received a grade 1 for each of
the seven key questions and am certain that the PASS system
played a great part in Key Question 4."
"We completed the online stuff for the whole school…. Got our
data back. It is fantastic!!"
"Thanks again for your support. It
is a rare pleasure to deal with someone who is so knowledgable
and professional about the service they provide!"
The
cluster met recently to evaluate the usefulness of the PASS
audit information and to share successes as well as
concerns. They felt that there was much to celebrate and the
data has enabled them to focus actions around individuals
and groups of pupils. In particular staff have seen real
benefits for their pupils as a result of their
interventions."
"You are a marvel
(and you can quote me on your publicity materials regarding
the excellent customer service you provide !!!) Many thanks.
"So far I have found PASS a really
useful tool, especially as much of my work with children is also
essentially preventative. PASS has really helped by confirming
some trends we were already aware of, and it has also spurred me
to work with some other groups and individuals on needs that so
far had been overlooked."
"Once again many thanks for your help over the last 2 and a half
years, which has converted me to your survey, and I sincerely
wish you even more success in the future. If ever an
organisation deserved it, it is yours."
"Just a quick note to say thanks
for the outstanding product and customer service. This is the
second survey we have done with the whole school. The new
improved access to the questionnaire and the speed at which the
data comes back are both excellent. The ease at which we can
then target at risk students makes a huge difference to their
academic experience. Thank you."
"I've just used your wonderful
programme. The strategies may well be random, but they are spot
on. I understand what you mean when you say that the strategies
are just examples of good practice that's already out there, but
I believe all teachers have a great deal to learn from these
suggestions."
"The students really
like it and are interested to see survey 1 and survey 2 to see
the difference. When one of the students saw the difference he
just sat there saying 'Wow!'"
"PASS’s
administration was highly effective; very detailed feedback was
given within 24hrs. The results were both interesting and
revealing. PASS had revealed important information that could
have otherwise gone unnoticed. PASS helped to identify problems
that could otherwise have gone undetected: the school is now
able to provide support for the pupil, and have already spoken
to him. PASS allows for a very deep insight into individuals,
and also acts as a very useful early-detection tool."
"Thanks for getting in touch so quickly. We have managed
to gain access to the staff section of the website. Can I
just add that our experience so far with the data capture
process has been 100% positive. We thank you for that!"
